 Spread by having vaginal, anal, or oral sex with an infected person 

 Mainly affects the genital areas, but can also affect the eyes and throat

 Vaginal discharge 

 Lower tummy pain 

 Throat infection

 Penile discharge 

 Pain when passing urine 

 Irritation inside the penis 

How do you diagnose gonorrhoea❓ 

 Urine sample 

 Swab: 

 Men: inside the penis 👨

 Women: high up in the vagina 👩

How do you treat gonorrhoea❓

 Women 👩: 

 Infection spread (pelvic inflammatory disease) 

 Men 👨: 

 Infection of the testicles 

  Narrowing of the tube that passes urine (urethra)
