 Red, swollen, hard region of breast

 Usually in one breast only

 Having classical symptoms

 Physical examination 🏨

 Breast milk sample to check for signs of infection

How do you treat Mastitis❓

 Antibiotic and pain medication 💊

 Avoid wearing tight-fitting bras

 Eat well and drink plenty of fluids 🍏

Why should I worry about Mastitis❓

 This can cause abscess (collection of pus) in infected section of breast

 If mother is breast feeding, this can affect their mental wellbeing 🤱
