What is Aphthous Ulcer โ
Round in shape, shallow ulcers inside the mouth ๐
Causes: irritation or damage to the mouth (e.g. biting, badly fitted braces or fillings), deficiency/anaemia ๐ฆท
Risk factors: stress/anxiety, hormonal changes, certain foods/drinks (e.g. coffee, chocolate), genetics ๐ซ

Avoid triggering foods (e.g. salty, spicy or hot) ๐ฅ

Painkilling/anti-inflammatory mouthwash ๐งด
Steroid treatments

Has a tendency to reoccur in some people
