How do you Diagnose Lacerations ❓

 Medical assessment of wound 🔍

How do you Treat Lacerations ❓

 Stop bleeding by applying pressure

 Clean and close the wound if needed 🧼

 Apply dressing to the wound to protect it

 Take simple painkiller e.g. paracetamol/ibuprofen 💊

 If infected antibiotics may be required

 Emergency hospital admission if severe 🚑

Why should I Worry about Lacerations ❓

 The wound may cause scarring

 There is a risk of the laceration getting infected 🦠

 There is risk of injury to internal structures e.g. nerves/muscle
